what part of me???... my cell phone charger to be exact.
i had a fantastic trip!
i was so nervous before i left because i didn't know what to expect. but by the time i landed on long island i had found a place to stay and a few wondeful things to do.
i ate:
- ethiopian food
- vegan strawberry shortcake
- nothing one day because i was too busy dance-partying
- tons of olives
- lots of tapas and garlic
i saw:
- totally michael and strom, and matt and kim
- my cousins and some super cute kids
- the atlantic ocean on a rough day
- the hamptons
- macy's
the week was filled with so much good stuff!
- i saw some people filming a movie in washington square park with lots of vintage cars
- the whole foods in manhattan isn't so cool
- chloe (my cousin's wife) hung out with me and showed me cool things
- the crate and barel in manhattan has a public bathroom
- my gramma's 80th bday party went off with minimal difficulties
- i got to see family that lives far away (like slovinia, and new jersey)
- i bought a super nice pair of jeans for way cheap
the only bad things that happened were:
- it took me an hour and 30 minutes to get home from another part of brooklyn thats only 30 mins away because of the stupid G-train and i was scared.
- i misplaced the most awesome cds that i brought with me. 12 of them. i left them in the goddamn pocket on the airplane
- i forgot my camera at home
- i didn't see any celebrities
- i didn't remember to go to any of the book stores that i had planned on visiting
- i didn't really bring back any souviners
- i never got to shoot the freak at coney island. but i will one day.
new york has something special about it. i'm not really sure what it is though... i used to say that i didn't like it and that i didn't really want to live there or visit that much, but since this experience in new york i think its kind of nice.
the air quality is noticably not so great. and the people aren't as friendly as they are in most places, but.. i'm not looking for miracles.
michael and daniels show was fantastic, and we danced our tushes off. it was lots of fun to see blake and i love matt and kim a LOT.
the worst thing about this vacation was that i came home to realize that...
(yes chris) i got caught for running those toll booths and now i owe the illinois highway authority $103.20!
uhh... well i think thats it.

i'm leaving for oregon on tuesday until friday and then i'll be home until september 15th. (at which time i will be moving out of the midwest)
